Cassandra is the Clinical Trials Manager for the division of Cardiovascular Medicine and oversees most of the research conducted at Vanderbilt Center for Translational and Clinical Cardiovascular Research (VTRACC), as the VTRACC program director at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has a strong medical background and has worked in many different settings. She started her research career at LSU in psychopharmacology in 2011 moved to Nashville and joined Vanderbilt in 2014. She has been at Vanderbilt ever since and is very passionate about the research that we do! She currently works on clinical and translational research predominantly centered around the role of the natriuretic peptide system on cardiovascular health, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, and cardiovascular disease prevention.
