Dr. Garmendia is a Foreign Expert with the FDA. He is responsible for on-site and remote inspections, designed to monitor all aspects of FDA-regulated research. Inspection outcomes have included study data and computer system invalidation, regulatory actions, and criminal convictions. He holds a Chemistry BS (Florida International University - FIU); a Chemistry MS (Vanderbilt University); and a Public Health/Epidemiology PhD (FIU). His research on data integrity has been published in JAMA Internal Medicine, among other leading journals.
