Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, registered nurses and clinical research professionals engaged in the care of patients with various diseases or conditions in clinical research sites or other environments under their direction.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Differentiate between clinical research practice and medical practice

  • Use standardized, validated tools for clinical research conduct

  • Share experiences to ascertain best practices in the field

  • Integrate clinical research into the greater patient care experience

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.  Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physician Continuing Medical Education
The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for 16.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Continuing Nursing Education
The maximum number of hours awarded for this Continuing Nursing Education activity is 16.8 contact hours.

Academy of Clinical Research Professionals
Association of Clinical Research Professionals will provide 24 ACRP contact hours to all full conference registrants.  These will be a combination of sessions attended in person in Nashville, and access to the remainder through the recorder sessions in the Online Conference Library. The Online Conference Library will be available shortly after the event through December 31, 2019.
